Our enduring approach to safety

At Wood, safety is more than a priority – it’s the way we shape how we work every day. Our enduring safety approach is Make it Home.

Make it Home reflects a simple but powerful commitment: that everyone should return home safely at the end of each day.

Putting people at the centre of safety

Make it Home puts people at the centre of safety. It reminds us that behind every role, task and decision is a person with family, friends and loved ones who matter deeply. By keeping that human connection front of mind, we create a stronger, more personal culture of care, accountability and responsibility across our business.

Turning words into action

Make it Home is brought to life through conversations, shared experiences and practical actions that encourage our people to pause, think about safety and wellbeing and make safe choices. It supports open discussion across all our work environments - from offices and project sites to offshore facilities and virtual meetings - helping teams reflect on why safety matters and what each of us can do to protect ourselves and those around us.

Through this approach, we continue to strengthen a culture where everyone feels empowered to speak up, manage risk and look out for one another - so that, every day, we all make it home safely.

Make it Home in action

Each year, our global Safety Week brings our people together to reflect on why safety matters, strengthen shared responsibility and reinforce the everyday choices that help protect ourselves and those around us. Through site activities, team discussions and personal reflections, it helps bring Make it Home to life across our business.

The photo gallery below captures some of the moments from Safety Week 2026 and how teams across Wood are continuing to build a strong, personal culture of care.
